The etiology of male breast cancer is largely unknown; however, hormonal abnormalities have been associated
with the disease in several clinical and epidemiologic studies. Writing in the American Journal of
Epidemiology, researchers from Roswell Park Cancer Institute reported their findings from a study to
examine associations between exposure to heat and EMFs and male breast cancer. The authors concluded that
males with presumed occupational exposure to heat had an elevated risk for breast cancer, whereas those with
occupational exposure to EMFs did not. [BENER 10016]
