Millimeter-Wave Stimulation of Acupuncture Points in Combination with Nutritional Supplements

This Russian study was performed with 32 patients, 26-50 yr old, who suffered from various chronic diseases, including sinusitis, bronchitis, gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, pyelonephritis, colitis, and allergic dermatoses. The patients were divided in 2 equal groups. The first group was treated by exposure of certain acupuncture points to millimeter waves (MMW). Patients in the second group received MMW therapy and were additionally prescribed a mineral-amino acid complex (MAC). The first positive changes, namely pain relief, improvement of sleep and appetite, occurred in both the groups after 4-6 days of the therapy. The treatment prevented recidivation in 11 patients of the first group and 14 patients of the second group. The authors concluded that combining MAC with MMW increases the effectiveness of therapy for chronic frequently recurring diseases. [BENER 13788]
