Two cobalt-samarium magnets were attached to brackets on gold crowns in the buccal cavity of 2 male monkeys. The monkeys were killed after the 13th wk and the buccal mucosa opposite the magnets were dissected out. Lesions adjacent to the magnets were apparently caused by factors other than simple mechanical trauma. Corrosion products from the magnetic material may have contributed to the reaction; however, an effect from the magnetic field itself cannot be excluded.

I have done considerable research in the field of magnets and biomagnetics, especially when applied to animals and humans. According to Roy C. Davis, application of the south pole or a south pole-north-pole magnet scheme does indeed cause an aggregate south pole, or positive, charge in animal and human cells. I am very concerned about the number of companies that offer "healing" magnets to the public without offering the proper education in the use of the south pole for ANY reason. The south pole does wonders for all kinds of plant life, but it is not safe for animals and humans.
