Twenty patients with recurring inflammatory disorders of the vascular membrane of the eye accompanied with collagenosis were treated with exposures of the circular muscle of the eye and of the temporal area to an alternating magnetic field and an infra-red laser, along with millimeter wave exposures of the sternum area. As a result of this therapy, all the patients noted reduction of discomfort in the affected eye and improvement of their general state. The authors concluded that electromagnetic fields can be effectively used in the treatment of eye diseases as a monotherapy. [BENER 12920]
