Millimeter Wave Treatment of Calcium Phosphorus Metabolism Disorders in Terminal Renal Insufficiency Patients

The authors employed millimeter wave therapy (MMWT) in 10 patients with a terminal stage of chronic renal insufficiency (CRI). Millimeter waves were applied in a frequency modulation regime to certain areas of the body. The MMWT was combined with conventional therapy using calcium preparations and vitamin D. A good clinical effect, was achieved in 7 out of 10 patients. The results of therapy in the other 3 patients were regarded as satisfactory. The authors concluded that MMWT is a safe and effective means for rehabilitation of CRI patients. [BENER 12917]
