Millimeter wave (MMW) therapeutic devices were put on trial in surgical patients with suppurative wounds which formed after emergency abdominal operations. Millimeter waves were applied directly to the affected area and/or to certain acupuncture points (csu-san'-lin', khe-gou, and others). The authors reported a favorable effect in almost all cases.
