Millimeter Wave Treatment of Hypertensive Crises

The authors tested millimeter wave (MMW) therapy in treatment of hypertensive crises. The MMW therapy was applied in patients after emergency hospitalization. The therapeutic effect of MMW persisted for about 2 hr, then the arterial pressure began to increase again, but never reached the crisis level. This increase in arterial pressure was not accompanied by aggravations of the general condition. The authors concluded that a single MMW irradiation for 40-60 min is an effective treatment method for remission of a hypertensive crisis. [BENER 12912]
